NovoEd has updated the renowned course, now in its fifth year, with a modern approach to human-centered learning experience design
San Francisco (June 7, 2021) –– NovoEd, which provides the industry’s leading collaborative online learning platform for the enterprise, today announced the 21st run of its SHRM-certified Learning Experience Design (LXD): From Ideas to Impact course, beginning June 14. Now in its fifth year, the five-week facilitated online collaborative learning program has been redesigned to more closely align with the current business climate and sense of urgency leaders face around organizational capability and skill building.
NovoEd’s renewed LXD course is designed to better equip learning and development professionals, instructional designers and HR executives with the learning experience design tools, resources and skills to drive organizational transformation. The refreshed course focuses on using experience design as a strategic and business enabler, empowering participants with the knowledge and skills to become change agents of human-centered learning at scale.
Designed to be highly practical and directly applicable to participants’ business priorities, the program enables participants to apply the latest techniques in learning design and experiential learning to accelerate capability building within their organizations. The program’s new learning design blueprint capstone project enables learners to put core skills into action immediately, ensuring participants make a real and immediate impact on their organizations and their learners.
“In response to feedback from our enterprise clients and course alumni, we’ve restructured this newest program to focus more on the application of learning experience design to complex organizational problems and business impact,” said Drew Remiker, Director of Learning Experience Design at NovoEd. “By giving participants access to our award-winning experiential learning environment, we’re delivering a more robust, collaborative and organizational learning experience that is tailored to each specific learner and their unique needs.”
First launched in December 2016, NovoEd’s LXD course has assisted more than 15,000 participants across six continents to master the core tenets of design thinking and apply these digital learning experiences to their workforce. Alumni of the program come from global Fortune 1000 companies, including CEMEX, GE, Kraft Heinz, Perkin Elmer and Nestlé.
“Our redesigned course will enable participants to leverage the power of learning design and strategy to become agents of change within their organizations,” said Todd Moran, Chief Learning Strategist at NovoEd. “Equipping enterprises with the skills and tools they need to create impactful, engaging learning programs is at the core of everything we do at NovoEd. With the newest LXD course, we’re especially excited that participants will be able to walk away with an actionable learning experience design blueprint that they can immediately apply to their own organizations.”
This five-week course begins on June 14, 2021 and is free of charge to all participants. LXD has been approved for 10 PDCs towards SHRM-CP and SHRM-SCP certification and will provide learners with comprehensive training, assignments and peer-to-peer learning that can be easily incorporated into day-to-day schedules.
