Creating a Virtual Internship at Goldman Sachs

December 16, 2020

This Harvard Business School case study dives into the story behind the 2020 virtual internship at Goldman Sachs, the first year that Goldman Sachs delivered their marquee internship program in a virtual form in the history of the firm. The internship program – which includes over 3,000 undergraduates and MBAs from around the globe – was delivered on the NovoEd platform.

When transitioning their flagship in-person program to a digital experience there were some challenges and concerns, but in the end, the feedback from Goldman’s end-of-internship-survey was overwhelmingly positive. The case study highlights the considerations when transitioning the program online and the key reasons for the program’s ultimate success.
